(II).The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Meerut was established in 1987 as an autonomous body and is registered as an Educational Society under Societies Act 1860.

Foreseeing sharp increase of employment opportunities in hospitality industry, following the rapid growth of tourism, the institute took up the challenge of transforming young students into professionals for the hospitality sector.
The old institute with a campus area of over 2.5 acres has emerged as a leading training institution in North India. Students of previous batches have made their mark felt through out the country and aboard. Industry circles have appreciated our efforts in churning out thorough hospitality professionals and are keen to absorb them.

The seedling planted by him is today blossoming in a blaze of glory. He had the vision and foresight to be a pioneer in the field of hospitality training in this part of the country. Through sheer grit and determination, he surmounted numerous hurdles to turn his dream in to reality. Our source of inspiration, he has left his footprints on sands of time for us to follow.
Prof. Raghuvansh Rajan, a visionary, pioneered in establishing IHM Meerut in year 1987. Prof. Rajan graduated in Hotel Management and had a stint with Taj Group of Hotel before venturing into academics.

IHM Meerut has added a contemporary persuit of excellence in the hospitality, education. Hospitality industry is one of the largest industries in the world. Unlimited opportunities do exist which give employment to millions of people the world over. As the old saying goes "All roads lead to ROME" No other profession demands the dependency as the hospitality industry does to the society. The employment opportunities in the profession of hospitality, tourism and allied industries have already lured and created attractive reputation in the minds of youths of to-day. Thus providing a right foundation of education and training to our prospective, talented students in the right direction will prove to be a great help towards growth and development of hospitality and tourism industry in India as well as in any other part of the world.

This is exactly what students are prepared for at IHM Meerut. Having a long existence of 24 years makes me feel proud and privileged of being part and associated with IHM Meerut since its inception. A highly prestigious institute of northern India and a pioneer in hospitality sector came into existence as an ambicious venture founded by the greet visionary a good planner and an administrator of par excellence late Prof. Raghuvansh Rajan on 25th of September 1987.

(V).Hostel offers clean and comfortable living conditions in environment friendly atmosphere. Every student in the room is provided with single bed, study table, chair and a cupboard, running hot & cold water, filtered cold drinking water, generator, inverter and incoming telephone call facilities are also available.
