II. Chairman's Message
The Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions was established in 1995 with the purpose of providing opportunities in the field of school education as well as higher education. The students have ample choice of courses in the fields of management, technology, medical and even communications. It's been a long journey which began with a small step.
Today it gives us great happiness to see the group growing from strength to strength. The group has spread its wings to the city of Lucknow and is looking forward to the opening of Pratap University at Jaipur.
We have always taken our social responsibilities seriously and we understand that students come to us with aspirations and hopes.

A.Our Mandate
To provide leadership in teaching and learning by encouraging, supporting and collaborating with the teaching community in the scholarly exploration, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of teaching and learning practices. The activities include both general and discipline-specific approaches to the promotion of successful learning in all its forms and contexts.

The Vision 2015
To be recognized as India's premier teaching and learning centre at a research-intensive paradigm. In order to achieve this vision, members of the MPGI staff have identified three vision drivers:
productive advocacy for teaching and learning;
enhanced learning through effective use of technology; and,
effective organization & sustainable practice.
IV.History
MPGI commenced its journey in the year 1995 with a mission to provide wholesome and quality education to the nation's youth. The group has made a tremendous contribution in this regard and has crossed many milestones till date.
SOME OF THE MILESTONES ACHIEVED ARE AS BELOW:
(1996) - Established Maharana Pratap Education Centre (MPEC), at Sharda Nagar Kanpur, an English medium public school affiliated to the UP Board.
(1997) - MPEC became the first college in Kanpur to offer hostel and day boarding facilities.
(1997) - Statue of Maharana Pratap inaugurated by honourable Ex Prime Minister of India,
Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
(1999) - Established Maharana Pratap Engineering College, the first private Engineering College of Kanpur.
(2001) - Established its second branch of Public School at Indrapuri, Kanpur which is affiliated to the ICSE Board.
(2004) - Commenced with two post graduate courses i.e. MBA & MCA which are running at Kothi, Mandhana, Kanpur.
(2004) - Established a 100 bed multi specialty hospital at Kothi, Mandhana.
(2005) - Established its third branch of Public School at Keshavpuram, Kanpur, which is affiliated to the CBSE board.
(2005) - Established Maharana Pratap Dental College & Hospital.
(2005) - Established Maharana Pratap College of Pharmacy.
(2007) - Established Maharana Pratap College of Management & Information Technology.
(2008) - Established Maharana Institute of Professional Studies, Kalyanpur, Bithoor Road, Kanpur.
(2008) - Established Maharana Institute of Technology & Sciences, Mohanlalganj, Lucknow.
2008) - Established Maharana Institute of Communication Studies at Vineet Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.

Mr. R.L.L. Dixit
The Placement Cell of MPEC is creating new land-marks every year under the stewardship of Mr. R.L.L. Dixit, Director General, Corporate Relations, Training & Placement. Mr. R.L.L. Dixit is B.Sc. from Lucknow University & B.E. (Electrical Engg.) from Jabalpur University & did a one year Management Course from Allahabad University. Mr. Dixit has undergone various short-term management courses organized by IIM Lucknow. Mr. Dixit is Ex. MD of UPTRON & UP Electronics Corpn. Ltd. He is also Ex-Chairman of Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers & has more than 30 years Corporate experience in the field of IT & Electronics. During his tenure, he was also associated with promotion of joint venture projects in the field of Electronics, viz. HCL - (CMDs - Mr. Shiv Nadar, Mr. Arjun Malhotra, Mr. Ajay Chowdhry), Samtel – (CMD - Dr. Satish Kaura, An IITian). He was also associated with e-governance project of Uttar Pradesh. He had set up Software Technology Parks, at Lucknow & Allahabad in association with IT Department, Govt. of India. He rendered Consultancy Services to small & medium electronics industries in UP for setting up their projects.
